Dionysiana Review

DionysianaThe review “Dionysiana” (ISSN 1843-9489), (Recognized by CNCSIS in B Category), published by a international board, which includes many high-level personalities (academicians, renowned academics from Romania and from abroad and researchers in the inter- and pluridisciplinary field), bears the name of one of the founders of the European Medieval culture, namely that of Dionysius Exiguus († 545), born and educated in the old city of Tomis (the present day Constantza / Romania).
The review “Dionysiana”, which is addressing both to the academical and university context and to the experts and researchers in the theological, philosophical, juridical, historical fields etc. from our country and from abroad – is published by the The Centre for Religious and Juridical-Canonical Study and Research of the Three Monotheistic Religions (Mosaic, Christian and Islamic), established in the year 2006 within „Ovidius” University of Constantza.
The content of the „Dionysiana” Review is, in the highest sense of the word, expressed by scientific works which mainly approach the problems related to the human fundamental rights and liberties, as they are provided by the international legislation and by the legislation of the three monotheistic religions, the authors of which present them from every angle (historical, socio-political, juridical, theological, philosophical etc.).
Unique in Romania by its content and themes, the Dionysiana Review will surely contribute to the assertion of the climate of religious liberty and collaboration between the three monotheistic religions, the academics and leaders of which are not only top-level experts, but citizens, too, also involved in the problems that the mankind is facing, both at an international and at a national level. Beyond doubt, the scientific community shall discover, in the pages of this Review, a unique voice, but also a voice of all those who are involved in a sustainable process for the promotion and defence of mankind`s spiritual, religious and cultural values.
The pages of our Review will not only feature the names of some great personalities or of some famous professors – from Romania and from abroad – but also of some young researchers, as, for example, members of the academic staff, Ph.D. candidates, whose works we included in this Review, with the intention to encourage them in their research work in the knowledge and study field of the three monotheistic religions` fundamental texts.
But in the pages of the Dionysiana Review, we will encounter not only famous, national and foreign authors, but also remarkable studies, by which we actually pursue the reaching of a spirit of understanding among the “sons of Abraham”, that is among the people belonging to the three religions, and, ipso facto, to the whole mankind.
Finally, we can say that review “Dionysiana” is already considered by the great international personalities (Rabbis, Cardinals, Ambassadors, members of the Academies etc.) as a refereed review of humanities, with the focus on “dignitas humana” (the human dignity), perceived as a supreme value of mankind, both by the sacred texts and by the legal texts of the three monotheistic religions.
